How to fund an escrow

Set your agreement, confirm the amount, and lock the budget on-chain before work starts.

Before you fund

Confirm the freelancer’s wallet details and agree the scope, amount, and approval point. For larger projects, decide whether milestones make more sense than one payment.

Create the agreement

In Compenset, enter the payment details and review the total before signing with your linked wallet. The final wallet prompt shows the transaction you are authorizing.

Share the funded status

Once the transaction is confirmed, your freelancer can see that the funds are secured and can begin the agreed work.
